People are really surprised I understand this stuff. Every one of these doctors said: "How do you know so much about this?" Maybe I have a natural ability. Maybe I should’ve done that instead of running for president.

Under president Trump, the U.S. lost about a million people to Covid-19 — a death rate twice that of other developed countries — largely because he minimized the dangers, assured people it would disappear on it own, politicized resisting the advice of the experts and instead endorsed quack remedies. Trump should have been a doctor? Being an incompetent but arrogant doctor would have been very bad, but being an incompetent but arrogant president was far worse.
